Terex Corporation was originally incorporated in Nevada on Deember 21, 1920 under the name Black Mammoth Consolidated Mines Company. The company was most active near Silver Peak, Nevada in the late 1930s, when it was controlled by automobile manufacturer Errett. L. Cord.
The company went through a variety of incarnations over the year and was eventually renamed Terex Corporation in 1962.
